For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us;
And the government will rest on His shoulders;
And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. ~Isaiah 9:6 LSB
Join us for Lord's Day worship at 11am and 6pm, Sunday School at 10am, and Wednesdays at 6pm. Take advantage of every opportunity to gather with the saints to worship our thrice holy God. Pastor Dave is leading us through John during worship and Second John during Sunday School and Wednesdays.
As Justin fills the pulpit, we will be moving along through the book of Judge, and our confession on Wednesdays and during Sunday School.
Check the website for new blog posts.
Thanks to Tracy for working up some new hymns and some old hymns that are new to Bass, as we incorporate more from Hymns of Grace.

Spurgeon’s Catechism Questions for December
Week of 12/7/25
Q77
Are the infants of parents who claim to be Christians to be baptized?
The infants of parents who claim to be Christians are not to be baptized, because there is not a command nor example in the Holy Scriptures for their baptism.
Week of 12/14/25
Q78
How is baptism correctly performed?
Baptism is correctly performed by immersion, or dipping the entire body of the person in water, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, according to Christ's example, and the practice of the apostles, and not by the tradition of sprinkling or pouring water, or dipping some part of the body.
Week of 12/21/25
Q79
What is the responsibility of those who are baptized according to the will of God?
It is the responsibility of those who are baptized according to the will of God, to join a well-regulated church of Jesus Christ, walk blamelessly before God, and keep all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
Week of 12/28/25
Q80
What is the Lord's Supper?
The Lord's Supper is an ordinance of the New Testament, established by Jesus Christ; in which, by giving and receiving bread and wine, according to His instruction, His death is portrayed, and those who are deserving by faith, share in the benefits of His body and blood, through personal spiritual nourishment, and growth in grace.
December Confession Reading: We have begun reading through our confession, the Second London Baptist Confession, as part of Sunday evening Worship.
12/7/25: 3.3
By God’s decree, and for the demonstration of his glory, some human beings and angels are predestined (or foreordained) to eternal life through Jesus Christ, to the praise of his glorious grace. Others are left to live in their sin, leading to their just condemnation, to the praise of his glorious justice.
12/14/25: 3.4
These predestined and foreordained angels and people are individually and unchangeably designated, and their number is so certain and definite that it cannot be either increased or decreased.
12/21/25: 3.5
Those people who are predestined to life were chosen by God before the foundation of the world, according to his eternal and unchangeable purpose and the secret counsel and good pleasure of his will. He chose them in Christ for eternal glory, purely as a result of his free grace and love, without anything else about them serving as a condition or cause moving him to do so.
